Education
Nationally recognized public school systems, private schools, as well as regional Governor’s Schools and STEM Academies serve students in grades K-12 in the Middle Peninsula region. Higher education opportunities, research in coastal ocean and estuarine science, and workforce development are provided by Rappahannock Community College in Glenns, the Virginia Institute of Marine Science in Gloucester Point, and several colleges and universities that are within commuting distance.
